A Time To Give Thanks

It's the time of year we traditionally set aside to step back and reflect on our many blessings, and give thanks.  We here at Gateway are thankful the great things to do in Macon that we get to tell you about: holiday festivities and shows, music and art, festivals and traditions, all right here in Middle Georgia (and some not too far away).

We're thankful for a city that's pushing past the malaise of the past, and people with vision and heart and will, developing both our downtown and other neighborhoods.  Sometimes a block at a time, sometimes a bulding at a time, but progress nonetheless.

We're thankful for the holiday season, the city getting dressed in it's finest, and hopefully, we as a people thinking a little bit more about others, and reaching a helpful hand out to our neighbors.

And we're thankful for YOU, our loyal Gateway viewers.  You've made us the go-to place for mobile information about Macon and the surrounding area, live music, festivals, and all the other Good Things to do that add to our collective experience.

Find out what else we're thankful for at this link below!

The Holidays In Middle Georgia

The holidays are upon us, and soon we'll deck the halls to their finest, rush about our errands, and hopefully be a little kinder to our fellow men and women.  Soon will come the Nutcracker Of Middle Georgia production, the Macon Christmas Parade, and all the rest.  While you're amidst the holiday rush, buy some extra canned goods for the less fortunate.  We like Loaves and Fishes, but there are plenty of worthy groups helping those in need.  It's not all iPhones and quad-copters and toys, but peace on Earth and a little charity of the heart.

In the meantime, to help get the Scrooges among you into the holiday spirit, check out this video of the Nutcracker of Middle Georgia from a few years ago.
